Tuesdays-Sundays,
Tuesdays-Sundays,
...went here last sunday at around 11am to test out my new dslr camera but ofcourse first to that is to learn more about the history and culture of the Philippines.
There were not so many visitors during this time but its way more than I expected. I have to fall in line for a few minutes to get inside.
Upon entering, you will meet this guy. Look like he is there to welcome you. I took one picture before heading to that desk with a woman in a black blazer behind for registration. You will be ask to write your name and address at their logbook. The line on the same side are for those who have bag/baggage to leave (tripod including its not allowed inside). It is actually a bit out of place and blocks the spiral stair on that side.
Good thing there's another one on the left side. It's an amazing straircase going up to the fourth floor of this museum. Well, there are elevators available for those who just doesn't want to walk much/at all.
Just behind the big statue at the first hall is another hall where you can see The Spolarium. A lot of visitors are gathered here. It's good to actually see them really interested with the artwork. It is so huge surely you can't miss it.
There are so much more to see, from first to fourth floors which are filled with paintings, statues and sculptures. An hour or so may be enough to explore this place.
Here are some more photos...and this is not all that there is. I have to leave some for your imaginations and hopefully you get to visit this place when you're in Manila.
It's beautiful there. It is fully airconditioned. The place is clean. I didn't try the restroom but seems clean to me from the outside. Foods are definitely not allowed. It's a free admission. It is not as crowded as some other tourist destinations. It is also near the other tourist spots you may want to visit in Manila such as the Luneta park and Intramuros. And most importantly, the works of art made by our very own artist are just too good not to be seen in real life!
